The 2014 Cobfoolery Contest Rules and Details


We are happy to announce the official start of the 2014 Cobfoolery contest.
This year we will have two categories for Professional Pipemakers and Amateur Pipemakers to enter, so you’ll have two chances to win!   
In both the Pro and the Ameture classification you may enter one pipe in each of the following categories:
·        Classic pipe shapes
·        Freehand or Fantasy shapes
All entries must meet the following requirements:
·        The combustion chamber must consist of at least one genuine Missouri Meerschaum cob.
·        Pipe must be smokable- finalist pipes will be smoke by a judge or judges.
·        If selected at a finalist, you must be willing to ship pipe to High Point NC for the final judging and agree to allow your entry to be displayed (and potentially smoked by judges ) at the Music City Pipe Show in Nashville on September 20th 2014. 
·        All finalist entries will be returned after competition of contest.
·        All finalists are guaranteed to win at least a $20 Aristocob.com gift certificate.
·        The Pro classification will be judged by the general public in an online vote.
·        Maximum of one submissions per category per person (a total max of 2 pipes).
Timing:
·        To enter, send photos a maximum of two paragraphs describing your entry and links to optional videos to Aristocob@gmail.com by midnight September 6th.

·        The Judges will select finalists of Amateur categories beginning on Sept 7th, and the finalist will be announced and notified on September 8th.

·        Week of Sept 8th finalists ship their entries to Scott at Aristocob.com. 

·        Voting on Pro entries will begin online on September 11th and will continue through the 19th.  The details will be posted on www.Cobfoolery.com and voting will be open to all interested parties.

·        All winners will be announced at the Southern Fried Pipe Show in Nashville, TN on Sept 20th.
